One of my favorite things to do is teach the skil of jewelry-making.
What happens is I get to watch new pathways develop in the brains of my students, and I get to see their eyes develop from "I like that" to "I can DO that." It's tremendously rewarding and an incredible amount of fun.
I get to teach this afternoon. The students I have are every bit as good as I am, they just have not figured it out yet. Once they do, they'll be on their own, and be fellow artists, not students.
THAT is the most fun I have in jewelry.
